Agios Konstantinos
It is a village built on the beach, 20 km from Samos town and on the road from Samos town to Karlovasi.
It is actually comprised out of two settlements, Ano Agios Konstantinos (Upper) where the homonymous church is located and which is hidden behind the forest and
not visible from the Kato Agios Konstantinos (Lower), which was built later in the beginning of the 19th century by the sea. Upper Agios Konstantinos is not inhabited
for the past few years apart for the summer season.
The two settlements are 500 meters apart and they are villages surrounded with lush vegetation, vineyards, orchards and plenty of fresh water.
The village residents are mostly occupied in tourism and agriculture and especially viniculture and olive trees.

Drakei
Drakei village is located at a distance of about 6 kilometers outside Kalithea. It is the highest village on Kerkes. The locals are mainly farmers and
stock breeders, preserve a traditional way of life.
The village is built among a dense pine tree forest. A rural road leads to 'Seitani' beach which is a protected area of the Monachus-Monachus seal.

Ireon
Is situated at a distance of 8 kms from Pythagorion and on the south side of the island. It is a pretty small fishermen’s
village, which has still preserved a lot from the former atmosphere with its small fishermen’ houses and typical taverns
right at the water side.
At a distance of only apprx. 800 m just near the entrance of the village there is located the famous archaeological site
of the "Temple of Hera".
Behind the port of Ireon there is situated the marvelous remote bay called "Pappa’s Beach".

Kalithea
Kalithea village is located at a distance of about 7 kilometres outside Kampos on a road that passes through Kerkis forest. Following the road to
Panagia Makrini you can find caves and chapels. A path connects Kalithea with Agios Isidoros port where the visitor can see a traditional boatyard making
wooden fishing boats (the well known caique of the Aegean) from pine trees from Kerkis mountain.

Kastania
It is located 4 km south of Lekka at the slopes of Fterias (foothills of mountain Kerkis), midst wild vegetation. Its name derives from the many chestnuts
that thrive in the area.
The first inhabitants of this village are considered to have migrated here from Epirus (northwest Greece). Most of the inhabitants are farmers and are
mainly occupied in vine cultivation. In earlier days they were also active in woodcutting.
From Kastania, the road continues and leads to the road that leads to Marathokambos, at the spot where the electricity windmills are located.

Karlovasi
Stretched out imposing in the more northern side of island Samos and gone around from green villages with a lot of vegetation and beaches with crystal clear waters,
is found Karlovasi, the second largest town on the island, 47 km from Vathi. An unusually planned town, it is divided into five sections: Old, New and Middle Karlovassi,
the Bay and the Harbour. A stroll around the town will provide ample evidence of past glories, with mansions, large and impressive churches, and deserted tanneries.
In the area there are several bays for swimming, and in particular, the large and small beaches of Seitani.

Kokkari
Is situated at the North coast of the island of Samos, at a distance of apprx. 11 kms from Samos Town. It was formerly
originally a small fishermen’s village and has slowly slowly developed to a very popular holiday resort. Around the old
village square reachable through many narrow lanes lots of different cosy and typical taverns, bars and restaurants invite
you for a nice evening, directly next to the sea, to enjoy your meal and to relax with a drink.
Kokkari is surrounded by green hills of forests, representing at the same time a perfect starting-point for interesting
hiking tours. All over the mountain slopes of "Karvounis" there are lots of typical mountain villages with fantastic
breathtaking views towards the North coast.
The doubtless most famous bays and beaches of the island are "Lemonakia", "Tsamadou" and "Tsabou",
located right after Kokkari. Due to the steady and best wind conditions Kokkari is considered to be a "Mekka" for
the windsurfers among you!
There is a wide range in accommodation at Kokkari, from 4-stars hotels until small private rooms to rent.
Due to the picturesque landscape, its lovely small port as well as the long pebbled beach and its very friendly and hospitable
inhabitants Kokkari became a very popular place.

Koumaradei
This small village was named after the many arbutuses (gr.:'koumaries') growing in the area. Koumaradei are built in a dense-vegetated
area.
In the village, the visitor can buy herbs and ceramics and visit the taverns and coffe-shops.

Koumeika
The first settlers came to the village from the city of Kymi in Evoia Island. The inhabitants are fishermen or farmers who grow olive-trees and onions.
Approx. 15 minutes outside the village, there is Balos Beach, which is awarded the blue flag of the European Union. There you can find bars, restaurants
and apartments as well as a small dock for sailing-ships.

Manolates
Leaving Agios Konstantinos heading to Manolates, the road passes through the area known as 'Aidonia'. The visitor can see a stream and many trees that reach up to
15 meters high. Wandering around Manolates you can see hens, goats and donkeys that are the only mean of transportation for the farmers.
There is also good food, wine and coffee in taverns and bars found in Manolates. Another road leads to Stavrinides.

Ormos Marathokampos
Ormos Marathokampos is found in the south-western side of Samos island, on the foot of the tall mountain Kerkis overlooking the deep blue Aegean sea. In
distance of 30 km is found the island’s airport and 45 km is the capital of Samos, Vathi.
Ormos Marathokampos allocates a small graphic traditional port embellished with traditional fish boats, where various excursion boats offers to visitors
the opportunity to explore unspoilt beaches, small islets, the holy island of Patmos as well as the islands of Fournous and Ikaria. Moreover the visitor is
able to travel in Turkey to visit the ancient city of Ephesus.
On the beach of Ormos are established restaurants, cafeterias, bar and various other spots of entertainment. Also Studios, Apartments und Hotels of
different categories.

Pirgos
The village is built near Amfillisus River. According to tradition, a shepherd's family, coming from Peloponnesus, found the location very pleasant and decided to settle
in the area. The people are mostly farmers producing olive-oil, wine and honey. The visitor can find many stores selling honey and fragrant herbs.
An ancient curved rock found in the area led to the assumption that there used to be a "Temple of Ion" to the east of the village.
Nowadays, there are many night-clubs in the village as well as taverns. The location named 'Koutsi' is an ideal place to find a good restaurant and enjoy a meal
under the trees, listening to the flowing water.

Pythagorion
… built on a small spot of the big ancient capital of Samos, was announced by the UNESCO as the monument of the world’s
cultural inheritance. Pythagorion is situated at apprx. 12 kms from Samos Town, on the south-eastern side of the island.
Lots of shops, cafιs and restaurants have given Pythagorion the charm of a popular and attractive holiday resort. You can
find various excavation sites all around this small maritime town, such as the "Efpalinos Tunnel" or the famous
"Castle of Lykourgos Logothetis". Everywhere in those narrow lanes of Pythagorion you will discover remaining
parts of Ancient Greece.
During the high season lots of sailing boats and other yachts anker up over here – mostly in the evenings – when sitting
in the bars or restaurants around the harbor bay – they create a marvelous picture.
Pythagorion is as well the starting-point for a number of interesting excursions by boat, e.g. to Patmos or Turkey/Ephesus
or to the neighbouring islet of "Samiopoula".

Samos Town / Vathy
On the north - east side of the island is situated Vathi, with the seat of the municipality the town of Samos. Built amphitheatrically around a large bay, it is a
harmonious fusion of Aegean colours, a neoclassical coastal zone and the gorgeous beaches surrounding it. Vathi is one of the three main ports on the island
and is almost linked to Samos, although the division between the two towns is difficult to see.
The town of Samos or Vathi as the locals call it, capital of the island today, stands on the north east corner of the island. It has a population of about 9,000 people
and is a mixture of old and new buildings. The town is slowly expanding round the amphitheatrical bay. The port lies in the centre of the eastern side of the bay,
which lends its name to the city. Limin Vatheos or Kato Vathi, as the locals call it, is the most lively place on the island, especially during the touristic season.
The rich historic past of the island is established by the ruins, the finds and the remnants of its famous sites. The historic church of Agios Spyridon, the building
that housed the Parliament, the Town Hall and the Archaeological and the Byzantine Museum are all tokens of the historic past of the island and great tourist
attractions.

Stavrinides
Stavrinides village is built inside a forest area. During the summer there are many festivities organized by local businesses.
Souma is a local traditional drink which every visitor should try. November is the time of distillation. After a certain process, Souma is made and during that time
in the village, there are celebrations with bouzouki and guitars as well as drinking hot Souma right out of the boiler.
