How to get to Samos
There are several posibilities to travel to Samos:
- with your own car
- flying to Athens - and then by ferry or airplane to Samos
- taking a charter flight to Samos (from end of April until October only)
With your own car
If you want to go by car there are two different ways to get to Samos. For both ways you should estimate 3-4 days
(from Germany).
The first way leads across the Balkan countries and has the advantage that you can reach Athens and/or Piraeus without
ferry - but the way is rather strenously.
The second way goes across Italy. The road conditions are better and during the ferry transfer you can relax and so you
arrive recovered at Greece.
Whatever you prefere - you will find the right information on the internet (by example)

Anreise mit einer beliebigen Fluglinie bis Athen -
anschliessend mit Fähre oder Flugzeug nach Samos
Mittlerweile steuern auch die sogenannten 'Billigflieger' Athen an. Informieren sie sich am besten im Internet oder im
Reisebüro über einen günstigen Flug nach Athen.
Vom Flughafen Athen können sie mit der U-Bahn, mit dem Bus oder mit einem Taxi nach Piräus fahren um die Reise
mit der Fähre fortzusetzen (siehe FERRIES).
Die Transferzeit nach Samos beträgt etwa 11 bis 14 Stunden.
Schneller und einfacher geht es mit dem Flugzeug.
Olympic Airlines fliegt Samos 4 mal täglich an. Die Flugzeit dauert etwa eine Stunde.
